Curriculum

Children at Sleepy Hollow Preschool learn though play. We use an emergent curriculum model to develop activities and enriched environments which reflect the children's interests while offering appropriate developmental tasks. Our teachers do not oblige children to absorb specific information the teacher considers important. By allowing children to select their own play activities from a carefully planned and balanced selection of active/quiet, large/small motor, visual/auditory/kinesthetic opportunities, we believe children's needs will be met best.
